The sun shines in Wales all the time, so spare a thought for our wonderful Really Welsh Daffodils, because they miss it for nearly half a year. But don't get too upset - for every hour they miss the sunshine there's its little bulb under the ground soaking up the delights of Welsh soil.
It might not look pretty (it might not look like anything at all) but those bulbs are having a great time down there, soaking up all the goodness from the soil to turn into delightful Really Welsh Daffodils. And now, you can get your hands on some.
The fact is that before now, you’d have to go to somewhere non Welsh, like England or Holland, to get your bulbs, so we thought you’d like a Really Welsh alternative, and it seems we were dead right. Our yellower than yellow beauties are going down a storm and you can get your hands on them in the stores that sold the flowers in the spring. Grab a few, plant away, and wait for the explosion of colour.
You'll be able to tell the difference between ours and fakes - the others just don’t look Really Welsh!
